Day 67 — Friday, May 22, 2020 or I finally did some quarantining baking!

I always enjoy baking — I find it really relaxing, unless it’s two days before Christmas and I am stressed because I haven’t baked enough Christmas cookies yet and I’m still wrapping presents and I should bake another pie — but typically I just enjoy putting ingredients together and coming out with something that smells and tastes so good. Sometimes my baking creations don’t look the best, they lean towards the messy side usually, but they taste good, so I really don’t care.

Anyway, I finally baked today for the first time since I have been at home. I meant to a few times, but then just didn’t. Plus it’s just my husband and me and I don’t want to have a ton of baked goods in the house if we are stuck in the house, who else would eat the stuff I baked?? Probably me because my husband has much more willpower when it comes to sweets. I have absolutely none.

So I had a bunch of ripe bananas and some eggs that were going to expire in a few days, so I made two banana breads. I used my favorite recipe and it was just so fun and relaxing and now I wonder why the heck I wasn’t doing this before?? Oh yeah, because we couldn’t find flour for awhile…

But now my house smells fabulous and I’m wondering what I will bake next. Now how will I get at least one of these banana breads into our freezer…this freezer is so packed with all our quarantine meats…
