Day 2 – Wednesday, March 18, 2020 — or the second day of anything just isn't fun…

Today I was bored. Sure I got some work done, but I didn’t have the drive that I felt yesterday. That sure didn’t last long… We’ve had a contactor here redoing our “spare” bathroom and I felt like I was in their way today — I hid out in the living room for most of the morning while editing a document and checking e-mail on my iPad. But the bathroom looks awesome!

And my husband went to the store on his lunch break and picked us up some quarantine presents! Check out this loot!

Obviously only one of us is successfully self quarantining…

So yesterday, my husband went to our local grocery store on his lunch break (because he really is having a problem self quarantining!) to see if they’d restocked some of our favorite items like bread and chicken (why are people hoarding chicken??). He checked out the toilet paper aisle because it’s always good for a laugh right now. There were 4 packages of toilet paper on the whole shelf, but unfortunately not the brands we prefer. As he stood there debating if he should just grab one to be on the safe side, two other shoppers walked up and each grabbed two sets of tp and walked away! He was left staring at the empty shelf — you snooze, you loose!

I did get to do an online yoga class this evening and I took a walk during my lunch break — it was so sunny! I guess I did have a little motivation. Day 2 done!

Day 1 — Tuesday, March 17, 2020 or the weirdest St. Patrick’s Day ever…

I survived day # 1 working from home during COVID-19! It wasn’t too bad — I actually got a good amount of work done. Who knew this was possible?!?

Day 1 Work space — looks pretty good, right?

Yesterday when I was leaving the office, I dragged my office plant home with me — we took a ride on the commuter rail together! This plant has been with me for 7 years, there was no way I could leave it for an undetermined amount of time!

I think the plant’s looking pretty good in its new home:

After my work shift, I did a online streaming yoga class that was recorded earlier in the day when I was working (thanks Firefly!) and then I took a walk around the neighborhood just to get some fresh air before dinner. There were a few families out doing the same thing.

My husband and I did a little Zoom call with his parents, sister and her husband and kids. Look at all the new technology we are using during our quarantine!

It was a good first day, we’ll see how tomorrow goes! Goodnight all!
